    GLORIA M. BUSHEY, 83, formerly of Sailly Avenue and most recently of the Samuel S. Vilas Home, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

    She was born in Malone March 25, 1925, daughter of the late Joseph Samuel and Dora Josephine (Riley) Bushey.

    Arrangements are incomplete and have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Rome, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh. A memorial service will be held at a date and time to be announced.

    PLATTSBURGH -- Gloria M. Bushey, 83, formerly of Sailly Avenue and most recently of the Samuel S. Vilas Home, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Malone March 25, 1925, daughter of the late Joseph Samuel and Dora Josephine (Riley) Bushey.

    Gloria was very involved in Academia; she had been employed by SUNY Plattsburgh for many years. She was active in local community arts, belonging to Community Choral. The highlight of her life was sailing through the Florida Keys with her close friends. Gloria was an animal lover, being especially fond of cats. She was an avid reader and played the piano. Gloria enjoyed her family, especially the visits from her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was a very giving person.

    Gloria is survived by her sister, Shirley M. Faubert of Elizabethtown; and several nieces and nephews.

    A memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at 1 p.m. from Brown Funeral Home Chapel, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, N.Y. Burial will be in St. John Bosco Cemetery in Malone, N.Y.

    Donations in Gloria's memory may be made to Alzheimer's Research at SUNY Plattsburgh, 101 Broad St., Sibley Hall 227, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
